About the Company

Our client is a well-established family office managing a diverse real estate portfolio of properties across multiple entities. The company is looking for a detail-oriented accounting professional to join the team and support day-to-day financial operations.

 

Role Overview

The Accounts Payable & Accounting Coordinator will play a key role in the daily accounting operations of the real estate portfolio. You will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, performing bank and credit card reconciliations, and ensuring accurate financial records are maintained across multiple entities and properties.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Process vendor invoices with accuracy and in a timely manner, verifying coding, supporting documentation, approvals, and applicable sales taxes
  • Prepare payment packages and assist with processing electronic payments
  • Carry out monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
  • Complete monthly corporate credit card reconciliations, following up on missing receipts or unclear transactions
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies across accounts payable, bank accounts, and credit card statements
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and keep vendor records current and accurate
  • Support the month-end close process, including preparation of accruals, prepaid expenses, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain well-organized electronic records and supporting documentation across all entities
  • Assist with additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed

 

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of hands-on accounting experience, with a focus on accounts payable and reconciliations
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
  • Experience working within real estate, property management, or a multi-entity environment is a strong asset
  • Familiarity with Hopem property management software is considered an advantage
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines consistently
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French (written and spoken) is required
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and external vendors
